I watched the photos come out of the White House on Tuesday. Elon stood with the other CEOs. Mark Zuckerberg. Jensen Huang. Sundar Pichai. Dario Amodei. Greg Brockman. Jeff Bezos was in the room too.
President Trump called it “almost like a constitution.” The document is short — just over 300 words. It is titled the White House Accord on Super Intelligence. The companies agreed to four layers of controls and audits: internal teams that monitor models for cyber, bio, and chemical risks; external auditors; board-level reviews; independent oversight. They also agreed to use the term “super intelligence” instead of artificial intelligence.
Trump said it is “morally binding.” He stopped short of promising new laws. The message was clear: self-police or risk something harder later.
Elon was there as SpaceXAI. That is the combined entity after SpaceX absorbed xAI. Grok sits inside that structure now. The same company that just put Starship into orbit also signed a voluntary safety framework in the East Room.
