Boring Company targets Austin–San Antonio
Elon posted that Boring Company is working on a simple precursor Hyperloop tunnel between Austin and San Antonio at more than 200 mph. The drive can take up to 2.5 hours in traffic. The tunnel aims for a consistent trip under 30 minutes.
Boring Company replied that it would be excited and honored to build it. Because Loop and Hyperloop are express systems with no intermediate stops, a rider could go from an Austin parking lot to a San Antonio restaurant in about 30 minutes if both ends have stations.
Why this matters: This is the first clear intercity signal from Boring Company in a while. The company already operates the Vegas Loop and recently raised $3 billion. A Texas corridor this busy is a real test of whether tunnels can beat highway congestion at scale.

X sues over Creator Revenue fraud
X filed suit against people who ran coordinated networks of accounts to abuse Creator Revenue Sharing. They posted inauthentic content to inflate engagement and used multiple bank accounts to hide the scheme.
Elon amplified the announcement with a short line: “Don’t mess with 𝕏.”
Why this matters: Creator payouts only work if the system stays honest. Cleaning out fraud rings protects the people who actually make content and keeps the platform usable for everyone else.

Starship Flight 14 slips to late September
SpaceX had aimed for as early as September 22 for Flight 14, the first planned orbital Starship mission. The plan called for roughly six orbits, deployment of the first operational batch of 26 Starlink V3 satellites, and a Pacific splashdown.
On September 17 the company moved the target to as early as Monday, September 28, still pending regulatory approval.
Why this matters: Reaching orbit is the next big step. Carrying real Starlink V3 satellites turns the test into something that also adds capacity to the network. Delays are normal; the capability is what counts.

Elon replied to a post about open-source models outperforming last year’s frontier systems with a simple observation: “Intelligence is improving exponentially.”
He also noted that Grok speed work continues: “We’re working on making it faster.”
Why this matters: The pace is visible even to people who only check X. Models that felt frontier less than a year ago are already being passed. That changes planning for everything built on top of them.

Boring Company posted fresh construction details on the Vegas Loop. Beyond the tunnels themselves, the system now includes stations, emergency egress shafts, cross-passages, and knockout shafts. One cross-passage under Paradise Road took about ten days to build.

Boring Company answered that it would be excited to build it and noted the express nature of the system—no intermediate stops.
That is a concrete intercity claim. The company already runs the Vegas Loop and has raised fresh capital. Texas traffic is a daily tax. If tunnels can cut that tax in half or better, the case for more corridors gets stronger.
At the same time, Starship Flight 14—the first planned orbital attempt with real Starlink V3 satellites—moved from a September 22 target to no earlier than September 28. Orbit is still the next milestone. The slip is real; the ambition is unchanged.

My take: The empire is pushing three different frontiers at once—physical tunnels under Texas, orbital capability for Starship, and basic honesty on the network that carries the conversation. None of these are finished. All three are moving.
